New Delhi: BEML Limited, a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kineco Limited, a premier Indian composite technology company. The collaboration aims to co-develop and manufacture advanced composite structures and components—key elements in next-generation aerospace and defence platforms.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged at the 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) at the BEML pavilion, in the presence of Mr. Shantanu Roy, CMD, BEML Limited, and Mr. Shekhar Sardessai, Founder and CMD, Kineco Limited, along with senior officials from both organizations. This agreement marks a major step toward strengthening India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced material technologies and fostering self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
Focus on High-Performance Composite Structures
Under this partnership, BEML and Kineco will collaborate on developing and manufacturing advanced materials such as Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) structures, Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) panels and components, honeycomb cores, foams, and bonding consumables for metallic detail parts. These lightweight and durable materials are vital to modern aerospace and defence platforms, offering superior performance and cost efficiency.
