The Bihar government has announced a reshuffle of several IAS officers, as per a notification issued by the General Administration Department. The transfers involve six officers, including 1995-batch IAS officer Dr. B Rajender, 2001-batch IAS officer Mr. Rajesh Kumar, 2006-batch IAS officer Mr. Dayanidhi Pandey, 2008-batch IAS officer Mr. Pranav Kumar, 2009-batch IAS officer Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, and 2009-batch IAS officer Ms. Seema Tripathi.
Dr. B Rajender (1995-batch): Dr. Rajender, who is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, also holds additional charges as Additional Chief Secretary of Public Grievances, Director of Administrative Reforms Mission Society, and Additional Chief Secretary of the Sports Department. He has now been assigned the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Rural Works Department, as the current incumbent, Deepak Kumar Singh, is on leave.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar (2001-batch IAS officer): Mr. Kumar has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Kosi Division in Saharsa and given additional responsibility for Purnia. Until now, he served as Secretary of the Bihar Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Dayanidhi Pandey (2006-batch IAS officer): Mr. Dayanidhi Pandey has been designated as an Additional Member of the Revenue Council. He was previously serving as Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Bihar, and also held additional responsibilities as Managing Director of the Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation.
Mr. Pranav Kumar (2008-batch IAS officer): Officer Kumar has been appointed as Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. He will also hold additional charges as Secretary of the Home Department, Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Investigating Commissioner of the General Administration Department, and Managing Director of the Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation. He was previously handling most of these roles, except for the Art, Culture and Youth Department.
These transfers are part of the Bihar government’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen governance across key departments.
