IAS officer Deepak Anand has been promoted to the post of Special Secretary. An IAS officer of Bihar cadre and 2007 batch, Mr. Anand is currently serving as Director, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Bihar.
Hailing from Sitamarhi district, he is a a postgraduate in Philosophy from Patna. He cracked UPSC CSE in his first attempt with AIR 55. The officer has also helped more than a dozen students to crack UPSC and has served in many crucial positions in the state. Before Food & Consumer Protection, he was Additional Secretary, Art, Culture and Youth Department.
He has also authored a book titled ‘How to Succeed in Civil Services’.
