New Delhi: In a recent administrative development, Ms. Kanika, a 2022 batch IAS officer, has had her cadre transferred from Assam-Meghalaya to AGMUT. The transfer has been approved on the grounds of her marriage to IPS officer Utkarsha, in accordance with existing cadre allocation rules that permit such transfers in inter-cadre marriage cases.
In another update, Avny Lavasa, a 2013 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, has returned to duty following the completion of her study leave abroad. She is expected to resume responsibilities in the Union Territory administration shortly.
These changes reflect routine cadre management processes aimed at ensuring administrative continuity and accommodating personal circumstances of officers within the framework of civil service regulations.
