New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has promoted and reassigned 15 senior Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers to top positions across the country. The move includes in-situ promotions to the ranks of Principal Chief Commissioner (PCC) and Chief Commissioner (CC), as well as key inter-zonal transfers.
The changes come into immediate effect and are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and leadership distribution across CBIC’s crucial zones and directorates.
In-Situ Promotions to Principal Chief Commissioner (PCC)
Five senior officers from the 1991 batch of IRS (C&IT) have been promoted and retained in their respective roles as PCCs–

Rimjhim Prasad – PCC, Director General of Performance Management (DGPM)
Rajesh Jindal – PCC, Director General, Systems & Data Management
Rajeev Gupta – PCC, CGST & Central Excise, Vadodara Zone
