Chhattisgarh: 06 IAS Officers Assigned New Roles; IAS Kundan Kumar Appointed as Commissioner, Housing Board

Subrat Sahu has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Cooperative Department. He is currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Religious Justice and Dharmasva Department and also holds the additional charge of Director General, Chhattisgarh Administrative Academy.

The Chhattisgarh government has once again reshuffled the state bureaucracy, reassigning roles to six IAS officers. The General Administration Department issued the transfer and posting orders on Sunday, January 12. As part of the changes, four officers have been given additional responsibilities, while one officer has been assigned a new post.

New Posting for IAS Officer

Kundan Kumar, a 2014 batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed as the Commissioner of the Housing Board. Additionally, he will hold the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of Raipur Development Authority. Prior to this, he was serving as the Director of Urban Administration and Development and also handling the additional charge of Commissioner, Housing Board.

Additional Responsibilities for IAS Officers

  1. Subrat Sahu has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Cooperative Department. He is currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary of the Religious Justice and Dharmasva Department and also holds the additional charge of Director General, Chhattisgarh Administrative Academy.
  2. Jay Prakash Maurya has been assigned the additional responsibility of Managing Director, Handicrafts Development Board. He is presently serving as Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department.
  3. Remigius Ekka, Director of Veterinary Services, has been given the additional charge of Director, Urban Administration and Development.
  4. Rajat Bansal, currently the Commissioner of MGNREGA, has been assigned additional responsibilities as Special Secretary of the Good Governance and Convergence Department.

Additionally, Yashwant Kumar, a 2007 batch IAS officer, has been relieved of his additional charge as Managing Director of the Handicrafts Development Board.
