New Delhi: In a significant milestone for India’s renewable energy sector, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has achieved commercial operation of 501.02 MW at its ongoing 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Rajasthan.
The announcement was made through a revised disclosure filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Revised Disclosure Corrects Typographical Error
SJVN clarified that the latest disclosure corrects a typographical error in an earlier communication submitted on the same day. The revised filing confirms that an additional 100.25 MW has been brought into commercial operation, increasing the operational capacity from 400.77 MW to 501.02 MW as of June 30, 2025.

Project to Play Key Role in India’s Clean Energy Mission
The Bikaner Solar Power Project, one of the largest solar installations in Rajasthan, is being developed in phases. With 498.98 MW of capacity remaining, the company aims to complete full commissioning soon, contributing significantly to India’s clean energy goals and energy security.
Once fully operational, the project will help reduce carbon emissions and increase the availability of affordable and sustainable power, aligning with India’s target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
Regulatory Compliance and Investor Transparency
SJVN stated that this update has been made to maintain transparency with investors and to comply with regulatory requirements. The accurate reporting of commissioned capacity is essential for stakeholders tracking the progress of key infrastructure and energy projects.
