On Saturday, Defense Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh visited Rafe Amfibre Company in Noida, where he was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath. The occasion marked the inauguration of a cutting-edge defense equipment and drone manufacturing unit, which aims to strengthen India’s defense infrastructure and reduce dependence on foreign technology. Both leaders observed live drone flights during the inauguration ceremony, showcasing the capabilities of the newly built manufacturing facility.
Uttar Pradesh: A New Hub for Defense Manufacturing
During his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the strategic importance of the new manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that every war has introduced new formats, and Operation Sindoor has been a learning experience for the nation. With the establishment of the drone and defense manufacturing unit, the state is set to become a major player in defense manufacturing. The Chief Minister also noted that Uttar Pradesh is rapidly moving ahead in the sector, with marked land being provided for the Defense Corridor, which will serve as a hub for defense-related manufacturing.
He expressed that, with the operational capabilities developed here, India would no longer have to rely on other countries for critical defense technologies. The facility will play a crucial role in enhancing India’s self-reliance, ensuring the country’s defense data remains secure, and preventing external vulnerabilities.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Praise for PM Modi and Rajnath Singh
In a heartfelt address, CM Yogi Adityanath extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh for bringing one of the two emerging defense manufacturing centers to Uttar Pradesh. He particularly thanked Mr. Rajnath Singh for establishing the BrahMos missile center in Lucknow, which has become a cornerstone of India’s missile defense capabilities. CM Yogi remarked, “The smile of Lucknow was incomplete until the sound of the BrahMos missile reached the ears of the enemy.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that with the BrahMos center and the new drone facility, Uttar Pradesh is well-positioned to play a central role in India’s defense infrastructure.
