Dehradun: In a fresh administrative reshuffle, District Magistrate Savin Bansal, an IAS officer of 2009 batch, has changed the responsibilities of key SDM officers across the district. The move aims to strengthen the administrative setup in view of increasing workloads in several areas.
As per the official order:
- PCS officer Yogesh Mehra has been appointed as the new SDM of Rishikesh.
- Vinod Kumar, who is currently serving as SDM Vikasnagar, has been given additional charge of SDM Chakrata and Tyuni, two strategically important regions in the district.
- Meanwhile, Smriti Parmar will now solely hold the charge of SLAO (Special Land Adjudication Officer), with other responsibilities withdrawn.
This reshuffle is seen as part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to streamline governance and enhance efficiency across subdivisions. The new charges are expected to bring more focus and clarity to the functioning of local administration in their respective areas.
