New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed 16 officers from the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Service (SCS) to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the promotion quota. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the official notification on September 8, 2025, confirming appointments against vacancies arising in 2023 and 2024.
Officers from 2023 Select List
Eight officers from the 2023 Select List have been inducted into the IAS cadre. They include
- Narayan Prasad Namdeo
- Dr. Kailash Bundela
- Nanda Bhalave Kushre
- Anil Kumar Damor
- Savita Jhaniya
- Sarika Bhuriya
- Kamal Solanki and
- Jitendra Singh Chouhan.
Born between 1970 and 1982, these officers were selected following consultations between the Union Government and the Madhya Pradesh Government. Their appointment adheres to the provisions of the IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, which govern promotions from state civil services.
Officers from 2024 Select List
Eight officers from the 2024 Select List have also been appointed to the IAS cadre. The appointees include
- Santosh Kumar Tagore
- Nisha Damar
- Rakesh Kushre
- Shaily Kansah
- Rohan Saxena
- Kavita Batta
- Sapna Anurag Jain and
- Ashish Kumar Pathak.
These appointments reflect the government’s structured process of filling IAS cadre vacancies through promotions from the state civil service, following seniority and eligibility guidelines.
Subject to Legal Proceedings
The DoPT notification notes that these appointments remain subject to the outcome of pending cases before the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Jabalpur, including matters related to service disputes and promotion procedures.
Upon completion of probation, the officers will formally join the Madhya Pradesh cadre of the IAS and undertake responsibilities as per cadre requirements.
