Professor Dr K. Jayaprasad has been appointed as a Non-Official Director on the Board of Shipping Corporation of India Land and Assets Management (SCI Land and Assets Limited).
Dr K. Jayaprasad is a distinguished academician and administrator, having served as the Pro Vice-Chancellor (former) and a Professor in the Department of International Relations and Politics at the Central University of Kerala. He holds a Postgraduate degree and a Ph.D. in Political Science, with over 31 years of teaching experience. He has also held several prominent administrative positions, including Vice Chancellor and Finance Officer (Full Charge) at the Central University of Kerala.
He has chaired the Board of Studies in International Relations and Political Science at the Central University of Kerala and served on the boards and committees of various universities and institutions appointed by the Government of India.
Dr. Jayaprasad’s areas of specialization include State Politics, Foreign Policy, Indian Political Thought, Human Rights, and Election Studies. His research articles have been published widely in these areas and he has contributed research papers to edited volumes on topics such as International Politics, Foreign Policy, Human Rights, State Politics, and Education.
He is an active member of several professional bodies and has held significant positions, including serving as President of the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA) from 2018-2021. He is also on the Editorial Advisory Board of the South Asian Journal of Socio-Political Studies (SAJOSPS) since 2018.
He regularly participates in regional, national, and international seminars, conferences, and academic programs, contributing to discussions on political, social, and cultural issues.
