GAIL Holds 24th Annual Rajbhasha Conference in Lucknow to Promote Hindi Across Organization

Lucknow: GAIL (India) Limited is hosting its 24th Annual Rajbhasha Conference in Lucknow on December 15–16, 2025, aimed at strengthening and promoting the use of the Official Language (Hindi) across the organisation. The conference brings together officers and functionaries from various GAIL offices nationwide to review progress, share best practices, and reinforce compliance with Official Language policies.

Inaugural Session Highlights

The conference was inaugurated on December 15, 2025, with the traditional lighting of the lamp, under the chairmanship of Director (Human Resources), Mr. Ayush Gupta. The inaugural session also included the release of a tent card designed to be displayed on the desks of GAIL personnel. The card highlights key points regarding the Official Language and simple translation methods, encouraging employees to use Hindi in day-to-day official communication.

Recognition of Excellence in Official Language Implementation

During the event, several GAIL offices were honoured with the Corporate Rajbhasha Shield for their outstanding performance in implementing Official Language initiatives. These awards acknowledge offices that have actively promoted Hindi in their work culture, setting a benchmark for other units across the country.

Mr. Ayush Gupta, in his address, emphasized the importance of using Hindi in official correspondence and communication. He motivated all participants to actively contribute to the promotion of Hindi, reinforcing GAIL’s commitment to linguistic inclusivity and cultural heritage.

Platform for Learning and Sharing Best Practices

The two-day conference provides a platform for discussion, review, and learning. Participants will share experiences, explore effective methods for promoting the Official Language, and identify new strategies to encourage the use of Hindi across all levels of the organisation.
