On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath made a landmark announcement that will benefit lakhs of teachers across the state. Extending a major welfare initiative, the Chief Minister declared that teachers of unaided schools will now also receive free cashless medical facilities, similar to teachers in government schools.

This decision is the outcome of consistent efforts made by teacher MLA Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon. During the monsoon session of the Legislative Council, he had raised the demand under Rule 110, highlighting the financial challenges faced by unaided school teachers.
On Saturday, a large number of managers, principals, and teachers from unaided schools gathered at Dr. Dhillon’s residence to express their gratitude to the Chief Minister and the teacher MLA for this transformative step.

Mr. Yogi Adityanath further announced that this facility will cover teachers in primary, upper-primary, secondary, and aided schools and colleges, as well as Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and even school cooks. This ensures comprehensive inclusion across the education workforce.
