PM Modi’s Vision for a Self-Reliant India
In his speech, PM Modi expressed deep reverence for the land of Dhar, which he hailed for its historic valor and contributions to the nation. Drawing inspiration from the bravery of Maharaja Bhoj and the sacrifices of Maharishi Dadhichi, he spoke of the country’s resilience in the face of adversity. PM Modi emphasized that India is no longer afraid of external threats and that the country is ready to defend its sovereignty.
Reflecting on India’s evolving identity, PM Modi said, “This is a new India, one that is not afraid of anyone’s nuclear threats.” He also noted the significance of September 17, marking Hyderabad Liberation Day, a day to honor the Indian Army’s bravery in liberating Hyderabad.
Empowering Women and Families
A major focus of the event was the launch of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Maha Abhiyan, aimed at empowering mothers and sisters across the country. PM Modi emphasized the importance of women’s health for the well-being of families and the nation. “If a mother is healthy, the entire household thrives,” he remarked, stressing the critical need for early screening of diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.
This campaign will provide free health tests, medicines, and screening for women across the nation, running until October 2, 2025, coinciding with Vijayadashami. PM Modi appealed to mothers and sisters to take advantage of the free camps, underscoring that the government is committed to their health and well-being.
Strengthening Tribal Welfare
PM Modi also announced a special mission for the tribal community, focusing on sickle cell anemia. This effort, which began in Shahdol in 2023, saw the distribution of the 10 millionth sickle cell screening card in Madhya Pradesh. More than 50 million screenings have been carried out nationwide, and the initiative is expected to save countless lives in future generations.
Additionally, the government is working on initiatives like the Tap Water Scheme and the Ayushman Yojana to ensure better living conditions for tribal communities. PM Modi highlighted the importance of health, sanitation, and education in empowering these communities.
Vision for Economic Growth and Industrial Development
In a significant step toward industrial growth, PM Modi laid the foundation for the country’s largest integrated textile park in Dhar under the PM Mitra Park initiative. This park, spread across 2,158 acres, aims to become a global hub for textile manufacturing, benefiting local farmers and industries. The PM Mitra Park will create 300,000 jobs and contribute to India’s export growth.
PM Modi outlined the park’s alignment with his “5-F” vision—ranging from farm to factory, fiber to fashion, and fashion to foreign. This vision will transform Dhar into a key player in India’s textile sector and bring new economic opportunities to the region.
National Nutrition Month: A Focus on Maternal and Child Health
September 17 also marked the beginning of National Nutrition Month, with a special focus on pregnant women. Through initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, over 4.5 crore pregnant women have benefited from financial assistance amounting to over Rs. 19,000 crore. On this occasion, PM Modi transferred more than Rs. 450 crore to the accounts of 10 lakh mothers under the Yojana.
Empowerment Through Technology: Launch of the Suman Sakhi Chatbot
In a bid to improve maternal health, PM Modi launched the ‘Suman Sakhi Chatbot,’ a platform aimed at providing timely and accurate information to pregnant women in rural areas. This innovative tool will ensure that rural and remote women have access to essential health services and guidance during pregnancy.
Focus on Women’s Economic Empowerment
PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering women financially through schemes like the Mudra Yojana, which has already helped millions of women achieve financial independence. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to transform 30 million women into Lakhpati Sisters. The initiative has already reached nearly 20 million women, connecting them to the rural economy through self-help groups, Bank Sakhi, and Drone Didi.
Aadi Seva Parv and Tribal Development
The Aadi Seva Parv is an ongoing initiative aimed at enhancing the welfare of tribal communities. This year, the festival will focus on health, education, nutrition, skill development, sanitation, and environmental protection. One of the most significant outcomes of the campaign is the “Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam” initiative, which empowers women economically by encouraging them to grow plants and protect the environment. Over 10,000 women in Madhya Pradesh have already been approved for the program, demonstrating the success of the government’s community-centric approach.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his deep admiration for PM Modi, acknowledging that under his leadership, India has made unprecedented progress. From military valor to economic transformation, the country has witnessed remarkable strides.
