Srinagar: In a significant administrative development in the power sector, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed IAS officer GP Singh Arora as the new Chairperson of the Technical Co-ordination Committee (TCC) for the Northern Region. Singh currently serves as the Managing Director of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL).
The appointment underscores the government’s efforts to strengthen inter-state power coordination and ensure more efficient management of electricity distribution and grid stability across Northern India. The committee functions on behalf of the J&K Power Development Department (PDD).
