Navsari: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the newly constructed Navsari Bus Port, the state’s 13th advanced bus port, today at 5 pm. Built at a cost of Rs 82 crore over an area of 5,025 square metres, the bus port is equipped with modern facilities aimed at providing passengers with an airport-like experience, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming public transport infrastructure in the state.
State-of-the-Art Facilities for Passengers
The Navsari Bus Port has been developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and is designed to ensure convenience, comfort, and accessibility for all commuters. The facility includes:
- Deluxe waiting rooms
- RO drinking water facilities
- Departmental stores and canteens for refreshments
- Wheelchairs and accessibility features for divyangs
- CCTV surveillance for security
In addition, larger city bus ports across Gujarat are being equipped with movie theatres, banquet halls, and shopping malls, aiming to transform bus stations into hubs of convenience and entertainment.

Comprehensive Development Works in Navsari
On the occasion, CM Bhupendra Patel will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development works worth over Rs 475 crore across Navsari district. These projects include:
- Roads, streets, and bridge projects
- Civic center and multi-level parking facilities
- Storm water network improvements
- Enhanced transportation facilities
These initiatives are intended to improve urban infrastructure, provide better public services, and enhance the overall well-being of citizens, while generating employment opportunities for youth and women and supporting local businesses.
