New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved key postings of two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers under the Central Staffing Scheme, strengthening administrative leadership at the central level.
Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau Appointed Deputy Secretary in MoHUA
Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau, a 2014-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
Her appointment has been approved for a four-year tenure, starting from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Pachuau is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department in the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has issued an official order instructing that she be relieved of her current responsibilities immediately to take up the new assignment in New Delhi.
Pachuau holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the prestigious National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore.

Ratan Biswas to Lead Census Operations and Citizen Registration in Tripura
In another key development, Ratan Biswas, a 2013-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been appointed as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for the state of Tripura.
Currently serving as Secretary at the Police Accountability Commission, Tripura, Biswas will take up his new role at the Deputy Secretary level under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to the DoPT’s order, his tenure will be effective from the date of assumption of charge and will continue until December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The DoPT has directed that he be relieved from his current duties immediately. As per standard ACC procedure, officers appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme must take charge within three weeks from the date of the order.
