The tenure of 2001 batch IAS officer Dodda Venkata Swamy of Orissa cadre, who is currently serving as the Chairman (JS level) of the Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA) in Kochi, has been extended. This extension, as per an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) on 18 October, 2023, has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Mr. Swamy’s tenure has been prolonged for an additional two years, starting from 18 March, 2024 and concluding on 17 March, 2026. This extension was proposed by the Department of Commerce and subsequently approved, ensuring his continued service in this important role.
