On February 29, senior IPS officer of 1991 batch, Mr. A K Choudhary, was sworn in as the new chairman of the Public Service Commission, Jammu & Kashmir. 

Mr. Choudhary had been incumbent as the special director general of police (crime) before replacing Mr. Satish Chandra (retd IAS) as the PSC chairman, a designation that he shall hold until he attains the age of 62, or until further notifications, whichever transpires earlier.
