A five-day training program on “Regenerative Agriculture” concluded at the Skill Development Centre of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The training, organized in collaboration with the Round Glass Foundation, saw participation from 25 trainees.

Mr. K.S. Pannu, a retired IAS officer from the 1996-batch and PAU alumnus, emphasized the importance of conserving natural resources and urged farmers to move beyond the traditional wheat-paddy cycle. He highlighted the urgent need for judicious water usage, warning against excessive exploitation that is depleting groundwater levels. Additionally, he called for collaborating with the Round Glass Foundation to tackle agricultural challenges and ensure the preservation of air, soil, and water.
Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Assistant Director (Skill Development), welcomed the attendees and outlined the objectives of PAU’s skill training initiatives, which aim to enhance farmers’ livelihoods, support women, and empower youth.
Dr. Lavleesh Garg, Course Coordinator, shared that the training covered key topics such as natural resource conservation, soil health management, vegetable cultivation, bioenzymes, sugarcane cultivation, and organic farming.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Kulvir Kaur, Coordinator of the course. The event was attended by Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur, Mrs. Kanwaljit Kaur, and Mr. Ravneet Singh from Round Glass Foundation.
