New Delhi: In a key bureaucratic development, 1999 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Mr Pawan Kumar Sharma has been empanelled for appointment to Additional Secretary or equivalent level posts in the Government of India.
The decision was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Currently Serving in Ministry of Defence
IAS Sharma is currently posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, a position he assumed in August 2024. His tenure at the Centre is part of a five-year central deputation, during which he has been handling key policy and administrative responsibilities within the defence establishment.
