IFS Suneet Mehta Appointed India’s High Commissioner to Fiji, 2 Other IFS Officers Sent As Envoys To Slovenia & Belarus;

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the appointment of three senior diplomats to new assignments.

The IFS Officers Are:

• Mr. Amit Narang, a 2001-batch IFS officer currently serving as Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, has been appointed as the next Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia.

• Mr. Suneet Mehta, a 2007-batch IFS officer presently serving as Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission of India in Canberra, has been named the next High Commissioner to the Republic of Fiji.

• Mr. Ashok Kumar, a 1998-batch IFS officer currently the High Commissioner in Lusaka, will take over as the next Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.

All three are expected to assume their new roles shortly.
