Sandeep Chakravorty, and Indian Foreign Service officer of 1996 batch, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Indonesia. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
He had earlier served as Consul General in New York. He had also served as India’s Ambassador to Peru and Deputy High Commissioner in Dhaka.
