Gaya/New Delhi: The Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, witnessed a grand Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Technical Men-63 and Women-34 courses. The event marked the commissioning of 207 Officer Cadets into the Indian Army.

Cadets Commissioned as Indian Army Officers
On this occasion, 207 Officer Cadets were commissioned as officers, ready to take on responsibilities in service to the nation. The Army Commander congratulated the cadets, acknowledging their dedication and the sacrifices of their families.
He lauded the proud parents for their unwavering support and reminded the new officers of the honour and responsibility that comes with donning the Indian Army uniform.
Pipping Ceremony Highlights the Day
The much-celebrated Pipping Ceremony followed the parade, where Lieutenant General Sengupta personally piped newly commissioned officers. This symbolic act marked their formal induction into the officer cadre of the Army.
The Commander exhorted them to uphold the highest traditions and ethos of the Indian Army, emphasizing integrity, courage, and commitment as guiding principles.
Remembering the Bravehearts
The day also included a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the OTA War Memorial. The Army Commander, along with newly commissioned officers, paid homage to the fallen soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
