A gathering of a large number of Patidar women and girls took place at Sola Umiya campus in Ahmedabad on Tuesday where ‘The Umiya career development council’ has been run by the community for a long time. In which the patidar daughters are being guided for the preparation of competitive exams including UPSC and state public service exams. Dilip Patel, the Minister of ‘Unjha Umiya Mataji Sansthan’ who attended the gathering, made an important announcement of ‘free training and preparation of these competitive examinations for a token fee of just 1 rupees to all girls.’ This is certainly a welcoming move taken by the patidar society for the upliftment and hurdle less education of girls.
Dr Jagruti Patel who is the chairperson of Umiya Mataji Parivar Mahila Sangathan, took an oath to honor and empower the widow sisters to bring them back in the mainstream of society.
