REC Limited has partnered with Sevarth Sansthan Seth Bimal Kumar Jain Trauma & Physiotherapy Dharmarth Samiti (SSB) to strengthen cancer treatment facilities in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, REC will provide ₹14 crore for procuring a state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine for the Trauma Centre established by SSB.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by REC Limited’s Executive Director (CSR), Pradeep Fellows, and SSB President, P.K. Jindal, in the presence of REC CMD, Vivek Kumar Dewangan. LINAC machines are crucial in cancer care, offering advanced treatment for cancers affecting the brain, spine, lungs, breast, liver, and more.
This initiative aligns with REC’s commitment to promoting health and well-being among communities. The company’s CSR efforts span healthcare, sanitation, clean water access, education, skill development, women empowerment, sports, and environmental sustainability. REC has supported over 400 projects, disbursing more than ₹1,300 crore in CSR funds, with a cumulative commitment exceeding ₹2,000 crore.
