The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has granted ex-post facto approval for the extension of S. Jeyanthi’s additional charge as Director (Human Resources) at ITI Limited, a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
According to an order dated April 23, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Communications, Jeyanthi – who currently serves as Director (Production) – will continue to hold the additional charge of Director (HR) for one more year, effective from February 28, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Jeyanthi initially assumed the role of Director (HR) as an additional charge on February 28, 2023, and was subsequently appointed as Director (Production) on May 19, 2023. Over the years, she has emerged as a key leader at ITI Limited, demonstrating strong capabilities in both human resource management and production operations.
Her career at ITI Limited began in 1989 as an Assistant Executive Engineer at the Bangalore Plant. Since then, she has held several positions within the Production division, earning recognition for her dedication and substantial contributions to the company’s development. In 2021, she was elevated to General Manager (Production) at the Palakkad Unit, where she played a crucial role in modernizing manufacturing infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency.
Throughout her more than three-decade-long career, Jeyanthi has been instrumental in upgrading production lines, executing prestigious projects for Defence and ISRO, and advancing ITI Limited’s technological edge in the telecom and allied sectors.
An alumna of Mepco Schlenk Engineering College in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, Jeyanthi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering – a foundation that has underpinned her impactful contributions to India’s telecom manufacturing landscape.
