Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday transferred four IPS officers currently serving in Chennai to district assignments following directions issued by the Election Commission of India.
The reshuffle affects officers holding key policing assignments in specialised wings of the state police.

G Jawahar, who was serving as Superintendent of Police in CB-CID, Chennai, has been posted as Superintendent of Police of Kancheepuram.
K Prabakar shifted to Perambalur
K Prabakar, serving as Enforcement SP, has been transferred to Perambalur as district Superintendent of Police.
E Sundaravathanam posted to Thanjavur
E Sundaravathanam, who was serving as SP in Q Branch CID, has been appointed SP of Thanjavur.
A Myilvaganan moved to Tenkasi
A Myilvaganan, serving as SP in Vigilance and Anti-Corruption southern range, has been posted as SP of Tenkasi.
Transfers linked to poll-related administrative measures
