Three senior officers of the Goa Civil Service—Amarsen Rane, Levinson Martins, and Sunil Masurkar—have been elevated to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) cadre.
The Department of Personnel and Training, under the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, issued an official order confirming the promotions on Friday. This follows recommendations made by a Goa government committee, led by the Chief Secretary, in October 2024.
The initial list submitted for IAS promotions included four names, but Meghnath Parab, another senior officer, was not included in the final order.
According to the notification, Rane and Martins were promoted to IAS positions against vacancies for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2022. Meanwhile, Masurkar’s promotion aligns with vacancies for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2023.
