Agartala: The Government of Tripura has initiated a significant reshuffle across its top administrative ranks, impacting IAS, IFS, and TCS officers. The changes, detailed in a notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, took effect on July 1, 2025. The move aims to enhance service delivery and revitalize administrative functions in critical sectors.
Key IAS Appointments and Transfers
- Mr Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS has been moved from his role as DM & Collector, Gomati District (Udaipur) to become the CEO, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) in Agartala.
- Rinku Lather, IAS, previously ADM & Collector, Sepahijala and Addl. Commissioner, AMC, is the new DM & Collector, Gomati District, Udaipur.
- Saju Vaheed A, IAS is now MD, NHM, and Member Secretary, NAM, replacing Mr Prashant Badal Negi, IAS, who has been relieved from NHM and NAM responsibilities.
- Ms. Megha Jain, IAS, earlier ADM & Collector (PP), West Tripura, will now serve as Director of Urban Development, Commissioner, TUDA, and CEO, Tripura Jal Board.
- Dr. Sailesh, IAS, continues in roles including Director of Industries & Commerce and CEO, Agartala Smart City, but is relieved of his Skill Development portfolio.
- Pradip K., IAS, formerly ADM & Collector, South Tripura (Belonia), takes charge as Director, Skill Development.
Notable TCS and IFS Cadre Reassignments
- Mr Akinchan Sarkar, TCS SSG becomes Addl. Secretary, Finance Department, and also assumes responsibilities as Director of Treasuries, Member Secretary, Tripura State Finance Commission, and Commissioner of Taxes.
- Mr Bijay Sinha, TCS Gr-I, formerly Sr. Dy. Magistrate, Unakoti, is posted as ADM & Collector, North Tripura (Dharmanagar).
- Mr Mihir Kanti Gop, IAS, now becomes Addl. Director of Urban Development, Agartala.
- Mr Ajit Sukladas, IAS, Addl. Secretary, RD Department, will take charge as Director of Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture and MD, THHDC Ltd.
- Mr R Arun Kumar, IFS, previously holding those positions, has been repatriated to Forest HQ, Agartala.
