Lucknow/Bangkok: In a strategic move to elevate Uttar Pradesh’s stature on the global tourism map, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is set to make a resounding impact at the prestigious Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2025, scheduled from August 26 to 28 in Bangkok, Thailand. The participation is being spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, which aims to attract global tourists and investors by highlighting the state’s deep-rooted spiritual legacy, rich history, and diverse tourism potential.

Uttar Pradesh Pavilion to Spotlight Buddhist Circuit, Ayodhya, Varanasi & More
A 36-square-meter pavilion at PATA 2025 will offer visitors an immersive experience of Uttar Pradesh’s iconic sites, with a focus on the Buddhist circuit (Sarnath, Kushinagar, Shravasti) and key spiritual destinations such as Varanasi, Ayodhya, and the upcoming Mahakumbh. The exhibit will feature LED wall displays, auto-navigation panels, and an Augmented Reality (AR) selfie zone that allows guests to take photos with digital backdrops of six famous tourist sites in the state.

Visitors will also get a taste of Uttar Pradesh’s craftsmanship, including highlights from the One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative, along with representations of the state’s ancient temple architecture and cultural grandeur.

Massive Roadshow in Bangkok to Follow PATA Presence
Taking its promotional effort a step further, the state will organize a high-impact international roadshow in Bangkok, either just before or after the PATA event. The roadshow will bring together over 100 stakeholders, including travel industry leaders, influencers, and media personalities. Slated to take place at a leading five-star venue such as The Westin Grand Sukhumvit, Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, or Radisson Blu Plaza, the event will feature high-tea networking sessions, seminars, and workshops focused on tourism packages and investment opportunities in UP.

Strategic Media Campaign in Thailand to Maximize Visibility
To amplify the impact, the Uttar Pradesh government will roll out a comprehensive promotional campaign across TV, radio, and outdoor platforms in Thailand. A 30-second tourism promo will be aired on three leading TV channels and three radio stations, played during prime morning and evening hours over three days. Simultaneously, digital screens at airports, malls, metro stations, and bus terminals in Bangkok will play the promo 15 times daily. UP Tourism will also secure placements in top travel and mainstream publications, further enhancing visibility.

Innovative Visitor Engagement at the UP Stall
Visitors at the Uttar Pradesh pavilion will receive personalized hospitality, with access to PR kits, brochures, and videos available in English and Thai. Facilities such as drinking water, tea/coffee, and interactive feedback collection via visitor books and QR code-enabled digital cards will ensure seamless engagement. Promotional slogans such as “Start Your Bodhi Journey in Uttar Pradesh” and “The Land Where Lord Buddha Lived and Preached” will reinforce the state’s deep spiritual resonance.

‘Land of Infinite Possibilities’: A Vision Taking Shape
Speaking about the initiative, officials noted that Uttar Pradesh’s participation in PATA 2025 aligns with CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision of positioning the state as “The Land of Infinite Possibilities.” This effort not only targets increased global tourist footfall but also opens avenues for FDI and private investment in infrastructure, hospitality, and cultural projects.

With Ayodhya emerging as a global spiritual hub and Kashi as a living heritage city, Uttar Pradesh is poised to become a powerhouse in religious tourism, heritage circuits, and eco-tourism.
