After the interviews, UPSC will release the final merit list, combining scores from both the Mains and Personality Test. Successful candidates will then be allocated services based on their ranks and preferences.
Developmental Significance of the UPSC Process
The UPSC examination is one of the most rigorous and respected recruitment systems in India. It ensures the selection of capable officers to lead administrative, policing, and developmental initiatives across the nation. The 2025 cycle, with over 1,100 vacancies, is expected to strengthen India’s bureaucratic framework and reinforce the government’s commitment to transparency and meritocracy in civil service recruitment.
