Calling the visit a deeply personal and spiritual reconnection with nature, Mr. Dhami said that Uttarakhand has seen a significant rise in wildlife tourism due to the government’s sustained conservation efforts. He highlighted that the growing influx of both domestic and international tourists has not only enhanced the state’s tourism profile but has also opened up new avenues for self-employment and livelihood for local residents.

Sharing glimpses from his safari experience on social media, the Chief Minister tweeted, “I got to witness a wonderful and thrilling glimpse of wildlife. This experience amidst biodiversity became an opportunity to connect with nature’s priceless heritage.”
As part of a green initiative conducted alongside the safari, more than 1,000 saplings were planted under the state’s ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign. This drive, supported by the Forest Department, local communities, and environmental volunteers, was described as a heartfelt tribute to motherhood and nature.
During his visit, Mr. Dhami also interacted with forest officials and appreciated their consistent efforts in safeguarding Uttarakhand’s forests and wildlife. He reiterated the state government’s dedication to balancing ecological preservation with sustainable tourism development.
