New Delhi: Vallabhbhai Maneklal Patel has been re-appointed as an Additional Director, designated as Non-official Independent Director on the Board of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), effective from April 16, 2025. The appointment was made through a resolution by Circulation passed by the Board of Directors.
Patel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) from Gujarat University and has extensive experience in managing the affairs of Shri Ganesh Ginning & Pressing Factory, an association that dates back to 1998. His deep knowledge of the industry has made him a prominent figure in various forums such as the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Cotton Ginning and Pressing Association.
Patel’s previous leadership roles include serving as the Vice Chairman of Kadi Nagrik Sahakari Bank Limited from 2002 to 2005. He is also a Member of the Advisory Board of The Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank Limited in Gandhinagar.
In addition to his corporate roles, Patel is actively involved in educational and philanthropic activities. He currently serves as President of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya, Chairman of Kava Patidar Kelvani Uttejak Mandal, and Director of Sarva Vidyalaya Innovation Foundation, a Section 8 Company.
This reappointment further strengthens the leadership of IRFC, which plays a critical role in financing Indian Railways’ infrastructure development.
