Women Shine in SAIL Story Writing Competition 2025 as Overwhelming Participation Highlights Public Connection with Steel Giant

Nearly 1,000 stories received nationwide; 8 out of 10 top awards bagged by women, reflecting the emotional and creative bond citizens share with SAIL

New Delhi:The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), in partnership with MyGov, has announced the winners of its highly successful SAIL Story Writing Competition – 2025, centered on the theme “SAIL: Building a Culture of Happiness, Where Every Smile Matters.” The initiative garnered an overwhelming response from citizens across India, with nearly 1,000 story submissions, far exceeding expectations.

A significant highlight of the results was the domination of women participants, who secured 8 out of the 10 top awards, showcasing not only storytelling prowess but also a deep emotional resonance with SAIL’s legacy and mission.

A Platform for Creative Voices

Launched in February 2025, the competition invited entries of up to 800 words in either Hindi or English from all Indian citizens—including SAIL employees, retirees, and their families. The initiative aimed to celebrate SAIL’s human impact and cultural identity, while encouraging creativity and storytelling rooted in real experiences.

Select winning stories may also feature in SAIL’s internal magazine ‘SAIL News’, offering further recognition and reach to the participants.
