Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to expedite the implementation of the Farmer Registry as an integrated benefit distribution system, ensuring that no eligible farmer is left out from government schemes. The directive aims to improve transparency, ease of access, and efficiency in delivering benefits to the state’s agricultural community.
Farmer Registry to Act as Integrated Benefit Distribution System
In a key review meeting held in Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the Farmer Registry should be developed as a single-window system where farmers can access multiple government schemes using one identification. The system will streamline enrollment and verification processes for programs like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) and crop insurance schemes.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to correct any discrepancies in farmers’ records by linking them with their Aadhaar details, ensuring timely and accurate benefit delivery.
Special Camps at Gram Panchayat Level
CM Yogi directed the authorities to organize special camps at the Gram Panchayat level to register farmers and connect them to the new system. He stressed that the initiative is not merely about registration, but represents a broader effort to bring transparency and efficiency to the agricultural sector.
Mandatory Farmer Identification Cards
All eligible farmers are to be issued Farmer Identification Cards, a measure that will simplify benefit distribution and enable accurate verification of eligibility. CM Yogi highlighted that this step would prevent duplication and ensure that benefits reach the intended recipients without delay.
Digital Portal to Be Fully Operational by May 1
To enhance efficiency, the Chief Minister instructed the Agriculture Department to fully activate the department’s digital portal by May 1, 2026. Through this portal, beneficiary selection and scheme distribution will be completely digital, transparent, and trackable.
Other Departments to Integrate with the New System
CM Yogi also directed departments including Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperatives, and Minor Irrigation to integrate their schemes with the new Farmer Registry system.
All preparations are expected to be completed by May 31, 2026, ensuring a unified approach to benefit delivery across sectors.
Ensuring Fair and Transparent Benefit Distribution
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the new system will ensure equitable and transparent delivery of government schemes, while preventing multiple benefits being issued to the same beneficiary. This initiative is expected to bring efficiency, accountability, and reliability to Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural welfare programs.
