Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, congratulating graduating students and applauding their contributions to India’s judicial system.
Calling the university “a matter of pride for both Uttar Pradesh and the nation,” CM Yogi said its graduates play a vital role in strengthening the judiciary and upholding the Rule of Law.
“The stronger the judiciary, the easier it becomes to achieve the objectives of good governance,” he added, linking India’s ancient ideals of Ram Rajya with modern governance frameworks.
Dharma, Truth, and Governance
CM Yogi emphasized that dharma is a way of life, not mere ritual, and faithful execution of duties is true religion. He highlighted the convocation motto “Satyam Vad, Dharmam Char”, which reflects India’s Gurukul tradition and resonates with judicial maxims like “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah”.
“Speaking the truth and following righteousness is the supreme mantra of life,” he said.

Judicial Reforms and Digital Initiatives in UP
The Chief Minister highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s efforts in judicial modernization:
- E-Courts, Cyber Law, and AI Training for officers, prosecutors, and judiciary staff.
 - Development of Integrated Court Complexes in 10 districts with world-class infrastructure.
 - Establishment of 380+ Fast-Track and POCSO Courts for women and children.
 - Forensic laboratories in every police range and creation of the State Forensic Institute.
 - Launch of a unified digital platform linking e-Courts, e-Policing, e-Prosecution, and e-Forensic services.
 
“The Rule of Law becomes truly effective when there is coordination between the Bench and the Bar—the Bench represents wisdom, and the Bar represents sensitivity. When wisdom and sensitivity come together, true justice takes shape,” CM Yogi noted.
Encouraging Students and Recognizing Excellence
CM Yogi urged students to uphold truth, righteousness, and integrity, contributing meaningfully to India’s judicial system. He also extended advance congratulations to Justice Surya Kant, the incoming Chief Justice of India.

Transforming Uttar Pradesh’s Legal Landscape
CM Yogi described Amrit Kaal as a transformative period for judicial reforms, marked by the introduction of three new legal codes:
- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
 - Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita
 - Bharatiya Sakshya Sanhita
 
He urged youth and legal professionals to actively participate in realizing the vision of a digital, transparent, and efficient judicial system in Uttar Pradesh.
