Five hundred nominated helpers came to the rescue of the differently-abled in Varanasi during the first phase of civic body polls in 37 districts of Uttar Pradesh that took place on Thursday.
Chief Development Officer, Himanshu Nagpal, tweeted pictures of their services.
The 2019 batch IAS officer shared: “500 ” Divyang Mitras” were deployed at all the Polling Stations of Varanasi to assist Senior Citizens and Differently Abled today. Glad to share that over 5000 voters were able to cast their votes with convenience with the help of our Mitras. Kudos to them.”
