Mumbai Police have a knack for coming up with unique and innovative initiatives for community building. In one such gesture to build love and a sense of belonging, they brought together 28 grandparents residing in Anand Old Age Home and 30 tribal students from three different schools in Palghar, and took them on a zooming and splashing mechanised boat ride to the Juhu beach.
As the boat sped across the rising spirited waves, the passengers’ spirits rose and happiness knew know bounds, giving competition to the limitless sea. Wearing life jackets, the senior citizens and the children raced against waves and time to have the thrill of their lives.
All credit goes to Mumbai Police for their thoughtful gesture that not just went beyond the call of duty but also beyond just saying, “We care”. They actually proved it!
Hats off to Senior Police Inspector of Santacruz Police Station, Mr. Rajendra Kale and team for initiating this warm initiative in a winter month.
