Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer Supriya Sahu took to the social media platform X to showcase a video featuring intricately crafted elephants constructed from lantana, an invasive species. She highlighted that these unique creations were skillfully crafted by tribal artisans hailing from Gudalur in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The elephants were brought to Chennai for display at the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet.
The officer further wrote on X, “These are reminders that we need to get these invasives out of our pristine forests to protect our Biodiversity. Don’t miss the Manjapai Vending Machine and our Eco Pod.”
