Young girls are now venturing more and more into unchartered territory, boldly and confidently as ever. In the Panbari range of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, an all-women team of young foresters and forest guards fiercely protects the forests and wildlife.
Armed with gun and in khaki uniform, these sentinels of the forest go about their duties with passion and commitment, inspiring numerous girls like them to study and take up a fulfilling job, in line with the PM’s vision of ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’.
Kaziranga posted an appreciation post on social media platform X of the Panbari girls, after they became the proud winners of the Forest Frontline Award at the 11th Eastern Himalayas Naturenomics Forum.
The infectious enthusiasm of the warrior queens rubbed off on all present at the award show.
