The Bihar government on Thursday (03.08.2023) took a significant step by assigning additional responsibilities to three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. These officers have been appointed as Enquiry Officers in the General Administration Department.
This move aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative processes in the state. The three IAS officers will now take on the role of Enquiry Officers while continuing to fulfill their existing responsibilities.
They are;
- 2005 batch IAS officer Divesh Sehra (Bihar cadre), Secretary, SC & ST Welfare with additional charge of CEO, Mahadalit Vikas Mission and MD, Bihar State Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Corporation Limited.
- 2007 batch IAS officer Md Sohail (Bihar cadre), Secretary, General Administration Department.
- 2007 batch IAS officer Baidya Nath Yadav (Bihar cadre), Secretary, Education Department.
