The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of the temporary upgradation of several senior officers to the level of Additional Secretary. These extensions will allow the officers to continue in their enhanced roles for specified terms, contributing to their respective departments and ministries.
The names and positions of the officers concerned are as follows:
Roli Singh (IAS: 1994: Rajasthan) – Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 26th December 2025.
Varsha Joshi (IAS: 1995: AGMUT) – Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 26th July 2025.
Suman Billa (IAS: 1996: Kerala) – Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 5th December 2025.
Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS: 1997: AGMUT) – Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 18th November 2025.
Ashish Vachhani (IAS: 1997: Tamil Nadu) – Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 20th November 2025.
Rakesh Gupta (IAS: 1997: Haryana) – Joint Secretary, President’s Secretariat, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 18th November 2025.
Rohit Kumar (IAS: 1997: Rajasthan) – Director, Cabinet Secretariat, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 24th September 2025.
Trishaljit Sethi (IPoS: 1990) – Director General (Training), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 1st September 2025.
Vismita Tej (IRS IT: 1990) – Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal, extended to the level of Additional Secretary until 23rd September 2025.
These officers have shown exceptional leadership in their current positions, and their extensions reflect the government’s trust in their abilities to manage and lead key sectors. The upgradation also highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and ensure continuity in critical administrative functions.
