The Uttarakhand government, in a late evening notification, announced a significant reshuffle of senior police personnel, transferring five IPS officers and 14 PPS officers.
Dhirendra Singh Gunjiyal (Uttarakhand 2011), who was on compulsory wait, has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police – Prisons, Uttarakhand. Yaswant Singh (Uttarakhand 2012), earlier holding dual roles as Assistant Inspector General of Police – Prisons and Superintendent of Police (SP), CID, has been reassigned as SP – CID, Uttarakhand.
Amit Srivastava (Uttarakhand 2012), previously SP, Uttarkashi, has been transferred as SP – Regional Intelligence, Uttarakhand. Mamta Vohra (Uttarakhand 2022), formerly SP – Regional Intelligence, will now serve as SP – Police Headquarters (PHQ), Uttarakhand. Sarita Dobhal (Uttarakhand 2024), earlier SP, Railways, has been appointed as Superintendent.
The notification also included the transfer of 14 PPS officers, with notable names like Harbans Singh and Jagdish Chandra being reassigned to new roles.
