The Chief of Intelligence Bureau of India, Mr. Arvind Kumar was given a one year extension of service by the Central Government. An IPS officer of Assam and Meghalaya cadre, Mr. Kumar will continue to head the Intelligence Bureau for a period of one year after June 30.
The extension was cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.
