In a government order issued on Friday, 2008 batch IAS officer Ashok Kumar Jayapal was appointed as Director in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Delhi for a period of five years.
The order stated that he has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
