1994 batch Indian Foreign Service officer M. Subbarayudu has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Namibia. He is currently serving as Ambassador of India to Peru and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
“Shri M. Subbarayudu, presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Peru, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Namibia. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the Ministry of External Affairs announced in a statement.
Before joining Civil Services, Mr. Subbarayudu worked as an engineer in the public sector and lecturer at a premier technical university in India. He has served at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as Deputy Secretary in the Central Europe Division and Joint Secretary in-charge of Development Partnership Administration.
Serving at India’s Diplomatic Missions in Jakarta, Warsaw, Rome and Dhaka, he handled political, economic & commercial and culture & information works. He has also served as the Consul General of India at Perth in Western Australia.
Mr Subbarayudu holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Technology degree in Geotechnical Engineering. He is married to Mrs Hema Mandarapu and they have two sons.
