IPS M P Gupta Takes Over As IG Of BSF For Tripura Frontier

He was serving as Joint Director at BSF Academy, Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh.

The 1995 batch IPS officer of Assam & Meghalaya cadre, Mr M P Gupta took over the charge of Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura. He was serving as Joint Director at BSF Academy, Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Tripura is considered to be a one of the challenging and sensitive frontier of BSF.

Mr Gupta has been conferred with ASSP in 2002, PMMS in 2011 and PPMDS in 2021. He is a highly decorated IPS officer.

After taking over the charge, Mr Gupta interacted with the officers and took stock of situation of Tripura Frontier.
