Senior IPS officer Ajay Bhatnagar will soon take charge as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). An order regarding his appointment was released by Personnel Ministry. Mr. Bhatnagar is a 1989 batch IPS officer of Jharkhand cadre who is currently serving as Additional Director in the federal agency. His post will be taken by Anurag who was currently the Joint Director in the CBI.
Besides them Manoj Sashidhar, a 1994 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, has also been appointed to the post of Additional Director in the CBI for a period of three years. Presently, he is Joint Director in the probe agency.
TENURE OF FOUR OFFICERS EXTENDED IN CBI
In a separate order, the Department of Personnel and Training has extended tenure of four Joint Director.
The tenure of Rakesh Aggarwal who is an IPS of 1994 batch and Himachal Pradesh cadre has been extended for a period of three months i.e. from 03.03.2023 to 02.06.2023.
Tenure of Viplav Kumar Choudhary an IPS of 1997 batch AGMUT cadre has been extended for a further period of one year and six months from 28.03.2023 to 27.09.2024.
While tenure of Pankaj Kumar Srivastava an IPS of 1992 batch and MP cadre has been extended for a period from 19.02.2023 to 24.11.2023
Tenure of Sharad Agarwal an IPS of 1997 batch AGMUT cadre has been extended for a period of one year till 31.05.2024.
