The chief ministers of Punjab, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have backed the West Bengal government over Central deputations of three Bengal cadre IPS officers. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday thanked them for their solidarity with the state.

Apart from Chief ministers, DMK chief MK Stalin and former Union minister Yashwant Sinha too supported the Bengal CM.

The chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, took to Twitter and Wrote “Federalism is at stake yet again. The BJP govt at the Centre has encroached the state’s area of administration and transferred officers. And that too before elections. Centre’s interference is highly objectionable and condemnable.”

DMK chief MK Stalin tweeted that “The civil services of the country must not be dictated by the whims and fancies of the ruling party in Delhi. I urge the PM to immediately rescind the transfer order.”

Yashwant Sinha said that “BJP has launched its surgical strike in Bengal already. Nothing but a comprehensive win for TMC is the need of the hour.”

The Central deputations of three Bengal cadre IPS officers ordered by the Union Home Ministry after an attack over the carcade of the Bhartiya Janata Party’s president JP Nadda during his Bengal visit. These three IPS officers were responsible for his security.
